Macron stated that he does not rule out sending troops to Ukraine.
Paris confirms its intention to send French troops to Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron made this statement in an interview with The Economist.
"Absolutely. As I already said, I'm not ruling anything out, because we're dealing with someone who doesn't rule anything out," he said when asked whether the Élysée Palace was still considering the deployment of the French army in Ukraine.
Macron also reaffirmed his intention to continue providing Ukraine with weapons. He also emphasized that maintaining France's prestige compels him to keep his military plans under wraps.
At the end of February, Macron already suggested the possibility of sending Western ground forces to Ukrainian territory.
